About Us

Company founder Roger Akins discovered a product in the late 1980's and a way of life that continues to be the centerpiece. The product was the twin gear living juicer and the philosophy was that of raw foods.

Over the years, the company has evolved to incorporate what we see as the fundamental tools to increase living foods, fresh air and pure water in your life.

We have a wonderful collection of products and resources, from living juicers and water filters, to soymilk makers, sprouters, air ionisers, mineral supplements, through to food dehydrators and infrared saunas.

Many things have changed over this time, although the single product that Roger believed in so much, the twin gear juicer, continues to be the center of the company.

Philosophy

Increasing the amount of raw foods we intake, through living juice and living foods, together with pure water, fresh air and exercise is the basis of our philosophy at Vitality 4 Life.

Fresh juice provides us with minerals, vitamins, essential fatty acids, carbohydrates, proteins and much more. Although eating fruits and vegetables in their natural state provides us with substantial amounts of vitamins and minerals, we obtain the maximum benefits from them when they are juiced. Much of the goodness locked in the fibers is expelled from the body. Juicing fruits and vegetables release the goodness from the fibers, allowing these highly concentrated nutrients to enter the bloodstream very quickly.

Living food is the healthiest on the planet. It's all that is fresh such as fruits, vegetables, sprouts, raw nuts and much more. It has not been cooked, boiled, fried roasted or over heated.

Having a source of pure water is also very important. Water acts as a lubricant and a flushing agent for our organs. Combining these nutritional elements with exercise and knowledge establishes a secure foundation in which we can flourish.

Raw food and yoga retreat in Ubud, Bali

Hundreds of years ago, a holy man on a vision quest from India named the area 'Ubad', meaning wellness, health and medicine in the Balinese language. He saw 'Ubad' as the perfect place for healing, the balance between the sea and the sacred mountain. The name changed to Ubud and together with 'sari', means 'the essence of healing'.

This essence was keenly felt when we visited the beautifully intimate raw food resort in Ubud, Bali. Then the vision was born for a retreat combining the raw foods, massage, colonics and yoga.
